How Kuula loans work.
Seven steps from first conversation to disbursement. No online application. Honest timelines.
STEP 01
First conversation
Visit our office at Taabu Courts, Kisingiri Road, Mengo, Kampala. Bring your National ID.
STEP 02
Application
We record your details, the loan product you need, your income records and two community references.
STEP 03
Verification
We run a NIRA check, a Credit Reference Bureau check and a field visit to your business or workplace. Both references are contacted.
STEP 04
Decision
Once your application is complete, we give you a decision within 5 to 10 working days. You see the full cost before you sign.
STEP 05
Disbursement
Approved funds are sent to your mobile money number. The origination fee and mandatory savings are deducted upfront.
STEP 06
Repayment
Pay weekly or monthly via mobile money or in person. If you face a difficulty, contact us before you miss a payment.
STEP 07
Graduation
After full repayment, your mandatory savings are refunded and your record is logged. A clean record qualifies you for a larger loan.
Realistic timelines.
From first visit to disbursement typically takes 2 to 3 weeks for straightforward applications. The verification steps are real checks, not shortcuts. If your application is incomplete or references are unresponsive, it will take longer.
